An abuser can track someone's internet activities; including websites they have visited. If the abuser is smart enough to see what sites you have visited, they may be smart enough to see that you have deleted your browsing history as well -so be careful! If possible, use a public computer; at your local library, at your place of work, or at a friend's house. In Moose Jaw, Tourism Moose Jaw and the Moose Jaw Public Library have public internet access.
Internet Explorer as well as Netscape keep a list of the recently visited web sites in the history file. By clicking on the history button on your toolbar you can look at your history. Along with internet history, computers have cache files. The cache automatically saves web pages & graphics. All the information you have recently viewed is available to anyone who looks at the cache files on your computer. Both your history and cache files can be cleared from your computer so that no one can see the past websites & information viewed.
